Creating a virtual oasis for problem gamblers
Habet imagined a virtual oasis for sufferers of gambling addiction to connect anonymously & receive therapy online in a safe space that would feel natural to them. It was my task to conceptualize that world & its features, including a variety of social hubs & virtual meeting spaces.

Central spire dome
The central spire is an important location within the Habetat, it serves as one of the main social meet up hubs, & the first area to greet users when logging in for the first time. From here users can freely roam, chat with others, or quick travel to other locations, like their appointment.
Nature meets technology
I conceived the Habetat as a beautiful tranquil island in the middle of an eternally calm sea, where you will hear only the sound of the wind, water & an occasional seagull. A place where users will feel at peace, where stunning advanced structures are drenched in dense plant life.
Sirena events stadium
Another significant space on the island is the Sirena stadium. This magnificent structure is the home to a number of events, talks & seminars. The stadium is able to host hundreds of attendees virtually from all across the world over a range of inspirational, educational & motivational events.
Information nodes
Placed all around the Habetat, users can access information nodes, which host a range of useful information such as appointment info, details of friends online, maps, practitioner directory & even access to content from the Habet website.
Virtual counselling
The main aim of Habet was to provide a safe, familiar space where sufferers of gambling addiction could access qualified counselors in their own customisable virtual practices within a stunning 3D online world. Part of my task was to conceive & design these spaces.
Waiting rooms
Within waiting room spaces users can find a range of virtual magazines which they can pick up & read at their leisure. They could pass the time by reading articles from the Habet website, or from selected partners in the healthcare sphere, allowing us plentiful opportunities for sponsored content.
A little light reading
Each customisable practice comes with a waiting room where users can arrive for their scheduled appointment & wait to be called through, exactly mirroring real life. An NPC located behind the reception allows them to access a host of useful services & information.
